May 30th

Breakfast for lunch again. 4 toaster waffles with a ton of maple syrup and a small glass of milk. Snacked on more of those sugar-free gummi treats. You really can't eat but 5 at a time. Dinner was a two parter. Plate of spaghetti with Parmesan cheese, then two green quesadillas - spread over time. Stayed up late enough, too late really, that I later had a dessert/snack of brown sugar Pop Tarts. Not quite as dried out as I expected, but certainly not fresh.

May 29th

After dropping Daddie-o and his 2nd Mrs. at the airport I swung through McDonald's. Had myself 2 sausage McMuffins and 2 hash browns. Too much to eat at one time but I was a hungry fool. No lunch - go figure. Then ODed for dinner. Order of taquitos, 2 chicken tostadas, which had me full up but when Sis called around 11 asking about a shake order I went for it. Large strawberry from JITB. Yes, with the whipped topping and everything.

May 28th

Skipped breakfast all together and fixed myself a Hungry Man frozen dinner for lunch. Salisbury Steak with a mushroom gravy, that I shifted through. Blah green beans and so so mashed potatoes, plus about 3 bites of brownie. Dinner turned out to be a long ordeal. Sis spent so much time at work and I was trying to eat with her that my meal ended up going from 8 - 12:30/1 a.m. I started with my packed caesar salad. Then had a garlic bread snack, 2 slices. While cutting up the Italian sausage I had a few chunks. Broke out the butterscotch pudding and Cool Whip. When Sis finally arrived and settled, that's when I had a small plate of spaghetti. Wasn't really all that hungry, but it smelled so damned good with the garlic, onion, peppers. I couldn't resist.

May 27th

Annoyed by the late awakening of Sis. Another noon breakfast. Approx. 12 oz. 1% milk and Cheerios. I'd already had a handful of dry Corn Pops and several sugar-free gummi treats. Fixed myself a snack in late afternoon, when feeding the pup. Two flour tortillas, colby jack shredded cheese and pepperoni. Felt like having either pizza or chicken for dinner. Neither worked out. Roast beef and cheddar hoagie and Toastino's pizza rolls instead. It was tasty, hitting the right spot. Finished my caramel cone ice cream while watching the end of Season 2 - Dexter.

May 26th

Got up when I was supposed to but I was alone in that. After a couple calls Sis got up. She then fell asleep getting dressed. Breakfast at noon - so annoying. 4 generic frozen waffles with a 1/2 can of blueberries (removed from a muffin mix) and Cool Whip. So good. Lunch was leftovers. 2 chicken tenders, some cheddar cheese, then later I finished off the cottage cheese and Triscuits. Good thing too, 'cause that cheese was 10 days past expiration and just starting to smell. Nachos for dinner while watching Dexter. Watched three episodes and enjoyed a 1/2 pint of HD caramel cone during the last episode. Now only have 2 more episodes to finish off Season 2.

May 25th

Started the day off write with cereal and about 1 1/2 cups 1% milk. Finished off the generic raisin bran, thank goodness, and supplemented it with Corn Pops. For lunch I had the Santa Fe Style Caesar salad, just in time. Also snacked on some corn chips and 4 Thin Mints. For dinner Sis and I had leftover deli. 7 wings, 3 tenders and some potato wedges for me. Topped off with a bowl of not quite ripe enough cherries.

May 24th

A day at the park. Roast beef and cheddar chunk cheese hoagie with corn chips and a half dozen thin mints. Also broke out a juice box - mixed berry. Snacked on a few sugar-free citrus gummis. So super hard. Sis tells me they are about 5 years old. It shows. Sis and I shared a tub of Albertson's chicken casaer salad. Dinner was more deli. 4 wings (2 zesty and 2 homestyle), 3 chicken tenders and some potato wedges. Never did do anything (cherries, apples, ice cream brownies) about dessert. It's just as well. *** First day of lodine - 1 pill.

May 23rd

Had my last leftover green quesadilla before joining Sis for nachos with sliced black olives. The cheese was oddly thick this go round. We put off dinner 'til after our evening viewing of Ain't Misbehavin'. Got home ravenous. Fixed our steaks and angel hair pasta with herb sauce. My steak was a good sized rib eye. So tasty & juicy!

May 22nd

Put off eating too long. Late lunch was leftover El Taco. 2 green quesadillas and a lime fruit bar. Dinner was around midnight after Sis arrived. So hungry I ate too much and too much crap. Some seasoned curly fries, Ultimate cheeseburger (no sauce) and an order of chicken strips.

May 21st

Was supposed to go to the lab for blood work. Skipped it. Napped. Just felt all kinds of ick. Ate two packs of string cheese and 5 chocolate chip cookies after feeding the pup. So yeah, that was around 6:30. Did an El Taco run and so dinner was 2 crunchy tacos and a chili relleno burrito. Topped that off with a lime fruit bar. A one meal, plus snacks, day.

May 20th

Woke up freakin' hungry. Chowed on a Nature Valley Pecan Crunch granola bar and downed a V8 with my vitamins. Why is it when the doc appointment rolls around I suddenly remember to take my vits? Lunch was a lot of cottage cheese and Triscuits. When you break the seal on an expired cheese product it's best to eat as much of it as possible as early as possible. Finally had the chocolate mousse pie. Clearly overbuying at Mimi's. Oh, and I added extra Cool Whip since that too is past it's prime. Late sup with Sis. Two hot dogs and no beans chili with added corn. The meal was great, but not enough. Went to bed and woke up hungry.

May 19th

Had no breakfast and a really late lunch. Roast beef and provolone (3 slices) on a plain bagel, plus 5 chocolate chip cookies. Dinner was the chicken parmasean meal Sis ordered from Mimi's. We split it. Came with breaded meat and spaghetti. After that I had two parts of a mousse trio. Lemon with blueberries for a topping and raspberry with rasp. sauce and strawberries. Too full for chocolate.

May 18th

A healthy breakfast of scrambled eggs (2 1/2), micro bacon (7 slices) and an english muffin with oleo and blueberry jam. Then I ate the Mimi's blueberry muffin I saved from the day before. Another day of vitamins - yay! Took 'em with V8 and 1/2 lipi in prep for Thursday morning. Sis wanted another run at Mimi's. This time around I had the West Coast Reuben which isn't a reuben at all. Rye bread, yes, but everything else is different. Ham and turkey with coleslaw. It was okay, but I won't be doing it again. We also split an appetizer of coconut shrimp. I had two. (We used a FREE coupon.) Had some fries but I think the pup ate more of 'em.

May 17th

Woke up hungry but out of time. Went to see Dirty Dancing. Sis had a craving for Mimi's so that was breakfast/lunch/dinner. Crispy chicken salad with ranch dressing (onions, tomatoes, carrots, cheddar cheese, egg) and a bowl of corn chowder. They gave us a bread basket so we each had a white loaf and slice of carrot/raisin bread. With oleo. After watching some shows I grabbed the bottle of limoncello and headed to the studio. Much later I had a snack of 2 reheated beef meximelts. No dessert.

May 16th

Sis ran errands and came back with KFC. I tried the new grilled chicken meal (2 piece - drumstick and thigh) with mashed potatoes and sweet corn. Sis gave me her biscuit so I ended up having two. The new chicken is tasty but they make you wait for it. Finally took vitamins again. Popped a small can of V8 to help down 'em. Dinner was onhand. A pastrami/provolone bagel sandwich with mustard, 3 dill pickle spears, sour cream 'n' onion Pringles (36) and 9 small chocolate chip (made from a pouch) cookies with a small glass of milk.

May 15th

First meal of the day was leftover El Taco. Two green quesadillas. Later I snacked on a lime fruit bar, some pretzel sticks and 1/2 oz. stale, roasted almonds. Dinner was leftover Taco Bell. Two beef meximelts. And plenty of peanut brittle. Plenty for me way... considering I only moderately like the stuff.

May 14th

My afternoon doc appointment acting as an appetite suppresant. The appointment was no big thing, but I get so damned nervous any time I have to see a doc. Stopped at El Taco before coming home. Chowed on two chicken tostadas, then a green quesadilla. Watched the ABC prime time line up. Snacked on Triscuits (20) and cottage cheese while watching DVR shows and waiting for Sis who didn't show 'til after 1 a.m. There's catching up and then there's crazy.

May 13th

Woke up really hungry. Had a Nature Valley peanut butter granola bar. Followed that up with some leftover Taco Bell for lunch. Steak quesadilla, beef meximelt and a bean burrito. I was stuffed. Didn't do dinner 'til Sis arrived. She was surprisingly early due to a computer glitch at work. Reheated green quesadillas, I couldn't be happier.

May 12th

Enjoyed a warm pastrami & provolone bagel sandwich with mustard and dill pickle spears for lunch. Not much effort for a nice meal. Snacked on a lime fruit bar and stale pretzel sticks. Sis picked up El Taco for din-din. Order of taquitos and a chili relleno burrito for me. Finished the HD Rocky Road ice cream. It amounted to a very small scoup. But it was sweet and chocolate and hit the spot.

May 11th

First meal of my day was lunch, which is so typical. Had leftover tuna helper. Not enough of it, but it was tasty. Ate a small bag of pink cotton candy. 110 calories of pure sugar. Later I snacked on a homemade pepperoni quesadilla with black olives. Dinner was way late. Waiting for Sis to call, even when she was the one who said she would, is ridiculous. I should know better. And leaving a voicemail message - what a joke. Two hours later, she calls back letting me know she just then leaving the office. Great. So much for errands and such. Ended up with a Taco Bell dinner. 2 crunchy tacos, 1 beef meximelt and 1 steak quesadilla.

May 10th

Started my day with an apple fritter and original glazed donut. Lunch/dinner was a lovely steak dinner, rib eye with cheesy rice and green beans. Dessert ended up being the last of the 3 original glazed donuts. Later I snacked on a cheese, pepperoni and black olive quesadilla. Homemade style.

May 9th

Started my day off right with the dregs of the pasta salad. It was still good, baby! Later I had a tangerine fruit bar, also finishing those off. Since there wasn't much pasta, I had a couple corn dogs as well. I would have been perfectly fine with plain dogs, but Sis wasn't. Dinner ended up being Tuna Helper. Time got away from Sis so we had dinner before her errands and then she didn't do all of her errands and me and the pup joined her for the important run to work. After hitting the office we headed over to Krispy Kreme. I ate one sour cream glaze and two original glazed. We have plenty more available...

May 8th

Started my day with a nice big bowl of pasta salad. God, I love my pasta salad with all the peppers and cheese and celery and olives. So tasty! Enjoyed some Thin Mint ice cream after, though I'm not gonna buy this flavor again. Dinner was late and light. I made a pepperoni and cheese quesadilla. I was too hungry to not eat, but didn't really feel like doing much and this did indeed hit the right spot.

May 7th

Enjoyed my leftover green quesadillas. They really hit the spot. Took an oddly timed nap late afternoon, not sure why I needed it, but apparently did. Fixed the pasta salad all by my lonesome. Love, love, love the chopper we have. That cut down standing around time, big time. Did myself a nice, big bowl and filled up. Never did have anything else, even though I thought about it. Hmmm... good red and green peppers go a long way!

May 6th

Kicked my day off in the late afternoon, even though I'd been up for hours. In part this was due to the air guy coming shortly after my call. Anywho, two green quesadillas and back to my laptop. Snacked on some cashews and they did a number on me. Later snacked on a tangerine bar. After three runs to the BR I laid out. Sis came home later than expected, bringing a Del Taco dinner. I had two chicken quesadillas and one churro. Hmmmm, churro.

May 5th

How could I resist having Mexican food on Cinco de Mayo. Sure, I realize we Americans make a bigger deal of this day than any of my Mexican American friends, but really, who needs an excuse to eat tacos. I had two crunchy ones and a chili relleno burrito. Dinner was dull though. Two Ball Park franks on wheat buns, pickle relish and celery salt on one. Later I tried the Thin Mint ice cream. It's okay, but I'd rather eat Thin Mints.

Pizza for breakfast! Two slices, one pepperoni and sausage, the other one being Tuscon cheese. Later I snacked on another slice with meat. Snacked really all day. Had a tangerine fruit bar at some point and chicken wings a couple times, eating a total of 14 throughout the day. Thought I'd have some IC but by the time I was ready for it my digestive track had other plans.

May 3rd

Up super early, out of bed in the 6 o'clock hour. First meal of the day was yesterday's missed dinner - pizza. Three slices with pepperoni, sausage, black olive combinations. Sis and I took the pup to the park for sunshine and duck chasing. Took along PB & J sandwiches - one each, strawberry jelly. Pup and I melted in the car while Sis grocery shopped. 6 chicken wings while watching HD TV, then a tangerine fruit bar top off. Much later I grabbed another slice of pizza to snack on.

May 2nd

Felt so nauseous in the morning. Didn't eat until I got to the wedding reception. Two coconut fried shrimp, 3 chicken skewers, 1 beef skewer, 1 tuna roll with cream cheese chives, celery/carrot/red pepper strips, 4 or 5 cheese chunks, raspberries, a couple roast beef slices I had to pull out of mayo city sandwiches. A couple sips of champagne, lots of tea and cake. After the affair a stop for a Quarter Pounder with cheese fed my need for protein. Crashed. Thought about dinner, made a suggestion, Sis liked it, did it and I slept through it. Oh well.

May 1st

Didn't feel much like eating, but knew I had to. Two breakfast lean pockets and pecan crunch granola bar got me through the day to the rehearsal dinner. Pinot noir and appetizers. One zucchini stick, one chicken strip and some bread with spinach/artichoke dip. Dinner was pre-ordered: honey Dijon salmon with spinach, broccoli and carrots and mashed potatoes. Came home and had another chunk of marble cake with buttercream frosting.

April 30th

Have established something of a nice routine, getting up around the same time. Fielded four phone calls. Two telemarketer hang ups? Bill Stewart. Then a telemarketer who now knows there's no mister here. Fixed myself a fried egg sandwich, complete with ketchup and two slices of provolone for breakfast. Also broke out the pickle spears and had 3. Snacked in the afternoon on 14 Milk Duds and some cashews. For the first time in a long time I took my vitamins (with the can of tomato juice from the plane.) Dined on gourmet hot dogs with Sis. One plain and one loaded with mustard, relish and celery salt. Crashed around midnight.
